Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born on August 9th, 1963 in Newark New Jersey. She is a mother of gospel singer Cissy Houston(nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney Elizabeth Houston's mother Dionne Warswick also sings. In Newark Whitney started singing with the church choir in the early years of her childhood. When she was 15 years old, she joined her mother in backing vocals in Chaka's smash Im Every Woman from 1978. Then she went on to perform backing vocals for Lou Rawls, Jermaine, as well as her mother. Her singing with band from New York Material brought attention to major record labels, including Arista. The label signed her to Arista in 1983 where she spent the remainder of her professional career. Whitney Houston became the top-selling debut record by a young artist in the year 1985. She sold over 44,000,000 albums worldwide. The same year, she married Bobby Brown who was a former New Edition singer. She had their sole daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. They were married in the month of March, 1993. About this time her well-documented usage of drugs began. In 1996 she became a daily user.
Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she works as a political correspondent as well as a reporter at CNN. She produced several weekend shows that the network airs, such as Evans & Novak Late Edition" and Inside Politics. Her previous work was for NBC, CBS and other prominent channels. Bash was awarded a Women in Washington Power List prize by Elle magazine. A lot of young journalists admire Bash for her incredible reporting and anchoring abilities.
